Tan Ching Tiong

Tan Ching Tiong obtained his LLB (Hons) in 1967 from the University of Singapore and his LLM in 1971. He also holds a LLM from the University of Queensland. He has gained valuable experience in the early years of his career in the Legal Service as Examiner of Titles, Deputy Registrar of Titles, Magistrate and Acting Deputy Registrar of Companies.

He left the Legal Service for private practice and now practises in the area of property and commercial law including property related banking, finance, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution and commercial work. Ching Tiong is an accredited Panel Member of the Singapore Mediation Center, a member of the Strata Titles Board and was a member of the Tenants Compensation Board. His practice has seen him advise financial institutions, developers, construction companies as well as individuals.
